Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will assist in ensuring that resident care is provided in a safe and effective manner, while upholding the principles of resident rights, compliance with state regulations, and in accordance with currently recognized nursing care standards and practices for assisted living and/or Memory Care endorsements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resident Care: Assist with resident assessment and implementation of care needs.

  • Communication: Participate in resident and family care conferences as requested by Health & Wellness Director and/or the Executive Director/Administrator.

  • Health Monitoring: Ensure that changes in resident condition are evaluated, monitored, documented, and effective interventions are implemented.

  • Skilled Nursing Tasks: Perform skilled nursing tasks as defined by Community policy and procedure, and as allowed by state law.

  • Medication Management: Provide support and assistance to medication management systems and ensure that medications are dispensed in a safe and effective manner.

  • Team Leadership: Serve as a role model to other team members in demonstration of courtesy, gentleness, effective approach, and interaction with residents.

  • Compliance: Maintain knowledge of current OSHA and state regulations and routinely monitor Community compliance with the regulations related to resident care and nursing functions.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Licensed Nurse in good standing with State Licensing Authority.

  • Experience in training and team member development preferred.

  • Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members, and team members.

  • Strong documentation skills.

  • Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.

  • Ability to develop systems for monitoring resident health conditions and for ensuring efficient and safe delivery of resident care.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to re-prioritize daily tasks.

  • Must maintain current CPR/First Aid credentials.

  • Must maintain current Food Handlers credentials.

  • Must maintain annual Continuing Education Credits.

  • Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential functions) with or without accommodation.

  • Subject to pre-employment screening including drug/alcohol, TB testing, and criminal background check.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work full-time, including occasional evenings and some weekend and holiday rotations.

  • Ability to travel locally, if necessary, to perform pre-admission assessments and participate in healthcare networking.
