Position Overview
As our Bookkeeper, you’ll function as the onsite Accountant managing all front-line financial duties:
Oversee Accounts Receivable (billing, posting, and deposits) and Accounts Payable (invoice processing and payments).
Maintain accurate resident financial files, including Admission Agreements and Service Plans.
Reconcile petty cash and general ledger entries.
Prepare financial statements and reports, collaborate with the Home Office Accounting team, and support budgeting and forecasting.
Respond promptly to inquiries from residents, staff, and vendors regarding financial matters.
Uphold strict confidentiality and compliance with internal standards and resident rights.
Serve as a professional role model with a positive, detail-oriented work ethic.
Requirements
Education & Experience
AA degree in Business or Accounting required; Bachelor’s preferred.
At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience (A/R, A/P); experience in residential or long‑term care settings is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Proficient in Word, Excel, accounting software, and payroll systems.
Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
Highly organized, detail-focused, and disciplined in time management.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Integrity in handling confidential financial and personal information.
Certifications & Screening
CPR/First Aid and Food Handler credentials required.
Commitment to ongoing continuing education.
Must pass pre‑employment screening: criminal background check, drug screening, and TB testing.
Must meet all state health‑related regulatory requirements.
Schedule & Compensation
Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
Occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Hourly wage: $25.00 (non‑exempt, includes overtime eligibility)
